Plot

Bong Dal-Ho (Cha Tae-Hyun) fronts a heavy metal band in small town in South Korea. A manager of small record label in Seoul visits the nightclub where Dal-Ho's band is rehearsing. The manager listens to Dal-Ho sing and becomes convinced he can become a top star. The manager follows Dal-Ho to a restaurant and offers him a recording contract with Big Sound Entertainment. Dal-Ho accepts the offer immediately. When Dal-Ho arrives in Seoul, he is shocked to learn that he will be performing "trot" (traditional Korean pop songs) music. Unable to get out of his signed contract, Dal-Ho takes to the stage wearing a mask and becomes an overnight sensation.
